CEDO Technician

ECHO NDE is currently seeking a CEDO Technician to join and contribute to our inspection team. 

Position Details

• Start date: April 2026
• 7/7; 12-hour shifts
• Fly-in-fly-out from Edmonton or Calgary hubs
• Subject to fitness test and D&A requirements

• Prepare and position radiographic exposure devices and sources, such as gamma or X-ray equipment, to conduct inspections
• Calibrating the equipment, securing the area, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed to protect themselves and others from radiation exposure
• Perform radiographic examinations on materials, welds, or components to detect internal flaws, such as cracks, voids, or other irregularities
• Implement and monitor strict safety procedures to minimize radiation exposure to themselves and others
• Ensure that all activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards

• Certified Exposure Device Operator (CEDO) certification
• CGSB Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) certification is considered an asset
• Current safety certifications (e.g., Confined Space, H2S Alive, First Aid) are an asset
• Capable of making knowledgeable, integrity-based decisions
• Strong communication skills with client and maintenance personnel
• Ability to travel
• Valid Driver's Licence
