CAD Technician

Echo NDE is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood Service Corporation and provides full service non-destructive testing, inspection, and integrity services throughout North America.  Our wide array of services is tailored towards maintenance, integrity, construction for both facility and pipeline sectors to a range of industries. In this role, you will support our tank division by preparing, modifying, and maintaining drawings and technical documentation. This role is 100% in office, supporting field operations.

Responsibilities:

• Creating/editing 2D drawings for inspection use and reports. Drawings range from simple to advanced.
• Provide CAD services remotely supporting field operations.  
• Minor computer software/hardware troubleshooting as required.
• Miscellaneous administrative tasks as required.
• Provide general office & technical support to personnel in the field / branch offices.
• Assisting with computer network duties such as daily backup of shutdown network files and archiving data as required.

Requirements:

• Intermediate to advanced 2D experience using Draftsight. Intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel 2003 or later.
• Prior experience with technical reporting & CAD layout drawings.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Intermediate experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Attention to detail & problem solving abilities.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and variety in work schedule.
• Ability to learn new skills, multi-task, work well under pressure, as part of a team, as well as individually.
