Position Details:

 

Echo is currently seeking Eddy Current Testing (ET) Trainee to join and contribute to our inspection team and support our Edmonton, AB Operations. This is a temporary, full-time position for project-based work March through September 2025.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and calibration of Eddy Current Testing equipment.
  • Perform Eddy Current inspections under the supervision of certified technicians.
  • Prepare and maintain test reports and documentation.
  • Learn to interpret and evaluate test results according to applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Participate in continuous training and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or coursework in NDT, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of NDT methods and principles is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites as required.
  • Physical ability to perform inspections, including standing for extended periods and lifting equipment.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to Work in Confined Spaces.
  • Ability to work away from home for extended periods.
  • Ability to work extended hours when required.
  • Valid Drivers License.
