Nextgen Tank Inspection is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rockwood Service Corporation that provides specialized service in asset integrity inspections. As Nextgen continues to expand, they are committed to building a strong foundational team to support their growth. They are currently seeking NDT Technicians certified in MT/PT to support their growing operations.

 

The technician will perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on storage tanks using Magnetic Testing (MT) and Penetrant Testing (PT) methods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NDT practices, ensure compliance with industry standards, and prioritize safety and accuracy.  Successful candidates must be able to travel through Western Canda.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate testing equipment.
  • Conducts tests on parts, following procedures established for specified inspection task being performed.
  • Evaluate results according to specifications and standards.
  • Assist with various other inspection tasks.
  • Organize and report test result.
  • Adhere to all company quality and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Magnetic Particle Testing (MTII) and/or Liquid Penetrant Testing (PTII) CGSB Certification.
  • CGSB Ultrasonic Testing (UT 1 or 2) would be considered an asset.
  • Preference for tank inspection experience.
  • Possess good analytical skills, detail oriented.
  • Be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally (English).
  • Be able to pass a vision and color detection test.
  • Willing to learn and assist in various inspection techniques.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license minimum (class 5) with a clean driving record.
  • Able to work well within a team environment.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Able to work long hours and weekends away from home base.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Canada to complete inspection projects.
